Katarina Maria Smederevac
Lawyer by training, artist in spirit. Katarina Maria Smederevac — the founder and creative force behind Lumia Atelier — is a multidisciplinary artist based in Poland. Holding degrees in Law from the University of Silesia and Environmental Protection from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, she effortlessly bridges analytical rigor with complete creative freedom. Drawing from her Polish-Balkan roots, she paints evocative canvases, writes poetry, and shapes her original streetwear brand, Lumia After Dark. For over a decade on her platform @stylish_katarinka, she has shared her refined aesthetic with an international community. Working primarily with acrylics on canvas — frequently accented with gold leaf — Katarina draws inspiration from her son Aleksander, her dog Chili, and her Balkan heritage, crafting an intimate world for those who seek emotional depth and timeless elegance. Her work is gaining international recognition, leading to her inclusion in the upcoming publications "100 European Women in Art" (2026) and "100 Artists of the World" (2027). Her upcoming exhibition schedule includes showcases in Canada, Spain, and Belgium.
